An unused outdoor storage area in back of this lovely old house on the Peninsula has been transformed into a Mediterranean-style fantasy. The structural arches have been dramatically accented with faux tiles, and a clouded sky mural on the ceiling creates a sense of spaciousness. An unsightly air conditioning duct has been disguised as an old wood beam held up by antique corbels. Furnishings and plantings were designed to be both low maintenance as well as adding color, warmth and light. This once neglected space is now the perfect place to entertain guests, especially during warm summer evenings.
